Pat McGrath Is Bringing Back Some of Her Sold-Out Products — With Expanded Shade Ranges

It has long been on my list of beauty regrets (yes, I have a list) that I didn't nab one of the legendary, much-copied-since Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish highlighters when they first debuted back in March of 2016. And it seems I wasn't the only one feeling the sting of missing out on dewy, glowy, Pat McGrath-anointed skin, because on Tuesday, the brand announced that it would be re-introducing the product as part of its permanent "Unlimited" collection.

Even better: There's an expanded shade range. In addition to the Iridescent Pink and Fine Gold powder options that launched with the formula's debut, there's now a hue called Bronze Nectar with a warmer quality; the latter is especially stunning on medium and dark skin tones. They will now be sold combined into one palette, which will retail for $68. Meanwhile, the dual-ended cream Highlighter + Balm duos (which previously included only Nude and Golden options) are also being expanded with a deeper Bronze variation.

"Backstage I always had my highlighting cream, I would put a really incredible, prismatic pigment on top of the cream, and then sometimes use a balm for that ultra-dewy finish," said McGrath of the inspiration for the range at a press event in New York City on Tuesday morning. As for her favored application method, the legendary makeup artist is all about mixing and matching the formulas and finishes. "Patting it in makes it look real and really makes your skin looks like it's your skin. Rather than your makeup wearing you, it's you wearing your makeup. You can do so many levels, all the way from theatrical, down to, 'Yes, darling, I do glow naturally.'"

To help get the application just right, the brand is also introducing a white version of its Buffer brush, which features two bristle lengths and was developed specifically for highlighting with cream, liquid or powder.

The Lip Fetish Balms ($38) will be available on July 10. The full Skin Fetish Kit, which includes the powder palette, brush, highlighter/balm duo and lip balm, will also be sold as a set for $125.
