удаление шрамовScars on the skin is quite a common flaw: few people are lucky enough in life to avoid skin damage. The universal way to get rid of scars does not exist, the method is always selected individually. Scar removal is not always possible to completely get rid of ugly marks, but in any case, after the special procedures skin will look better.

Types of scars

The scar is a scar neoplasms that arise at the place of damage to the skin, such as wounds or deep scratches, burns, boils. In the area of the scar skin shades: fresh scars usually range in color from pink to bluish-red, over time, they become lighter, becoming almost white. The structure of the tissue in this zone also changes and becomes more dense.

Depending on the individual characteristics of the skin scars can be at the level of the surrounding healthy skin (normotrophic scars), below this level (the so-called atrophic involved scars) or above it (hypertrophic, protruding scars). Some appear on the skin keloid scars – convex, bright with the ability to grow.

Normotrophic scars – the most “innocent” kind: they are unobtrusive and almost do not cause disturbance to their owners. Atrophic scars in the form of dimples, raised bumps and grooves on the skin and also dark speakers hypertrophic scars are much more noticeable. But the most difficult to cope with keloid scars, which instantly attract attention and almost not amenable to correction because of their specific features.

Universal way of dealing with scars no: depending on the type of scar and skin characteristics of effective patient can be different methods:

  • mechanical or laser resurfacing;
  • chemical peels;
  • injections of fillers;
  • the use of steroids;
  • surgical treatment (excision of scars).

Surgical removal of scars

Surgical excision of scars is the oldest and most radical way of dealing with scars. This technique is particularly well suited for old scars and large ugly scars. The essence of the method is that the skin defect is simply removed, the edges of the skin tighten around him and fastened a neat cosmetic seam. As a result, the scar does not disappear completely, but instead of the rough scar appears neat, almost invisible scar.

In some cases, if the area of the primary scar is large (for example, after a burn, you may need skin grafts.

Surgical removal of scars – the technique is quite traumatic, has many contraindications and side effects.

As a result, it depends on the characteristics of the skin and the skill of the surgeon.

Steroid injections

Steroid drugs help to control the process of producing collagen in the skin. Steroids inhibit the activity of cells of fibroblast, collagen is a kind of construction material for scars – produce less. The structure of the scar as a result of injections is destroyed, the scar becomes less pronounced.

Steroid injections can be effective in combating hypertrophic scars and even keloids. This method is well suited for removing or at least reducing, fresh scars, if the scar is old, then steroids are ineffective. Hormone injections can cause hyperpigmentation of the skin in the area of injection and other local changes on the body in General, these injections have no effect.

Injections of fillers

This technique is suitable for the correction of atrophic scars, which are located below the level of healthy skin. With an injection space under the scar is filled with grease or a gel based on hyaluronic acid, that is, the same drugs that are used for the correction of wrinkles. The skin in the area of the scar extends, is aligned.

In this case, the fillers, as for the correction of wrinkles, give only temporary effect. Over time, the drug is absorbed, and the scar may appear again. Therefore, the injections have to be repeated on average twice a year. Otherwise, this method proved to be effective injections are easy to move, rarely cause complications, and the scars are almost invisible.

Mechanical and laser resurfacing

To make scars (mostly normotrophic) less noticeable, apply skin resurfacing – microdermabrasion. During resurfacing removes the top layers of the skin, the surface of the epidermis is aligned. Small scars after such processing may disappear completely, just large will become less noticeable. So often destroy small scars left in memory of acne.

This method is traumatic enough, after skin resurfacing requires a sufficiently long period for recovery. In addition, microdermabrasion is not suitable for all types of scars. Today, instead of a mechanical skin resurfacing increasingly use more gentle laser resurfacing. The procedure is virtually painless: laser layer by layer burns extra cells, making the scar almost invisible. But laser resurfacing is not suitable for atrophic scars, and also on dark skin after this procedure may forever remain a bright spot.

Chemical peels

Chemical acid peels remove the outer layers of the skin together with all faults. Concentrated acid causes skin burns and literally dissolve the cells. After recovery of the epidermis from the small scars, stretch marks and traces of acne remain only memories.

Using this technique you can get rid of small scars, and large scars make it less noticeable. It is important to remember that chemical peels are a number of contraindications, and the skin needs time to recover after the procedure.
