Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — have embarked on the next leg of their tour, most recently landing in Tonga, where they were greeted by Princess Angelika Latufuipeka (plus many fans and photographers) at the airport in Nuku'alofa.

In a style choice that put literally everyone else's airport outfits to shame, the Duchess wore a belted, pleated red Self-Portrait dress (a customized version of this one currently available for pre-order) for the flight. The Duchess — along with Michelle Obama — has proven to be a fan of the London-based label, which she's worn before.

The Duchess, who recently wore a "Fijian blue" dress in Fiji, has been strategic with the color palette for her wardrobe during her travels. Choosing to wear a bright-red look for her arrival in Tonga was no doubt intentional as well; the shade mimics that of the nation's flag. She certainly seems to have that whole fashion diplomacy thing figured out.

To complement the vibrant dress, the Duchess chose navy blue accessories: suede Manolo Blahnik pumps and a slim bespoke Christian Dior clutch.
